Is damage to a vehicle in a garage fire covered in my auto or home insurance?

Hey everybody, it’s Tracy from the Pegram Agency. I thought I’d do a little insurance one-on-one with you today with the question of if my vehicle is parked in my garage and my garage catches on fire, is my vehicle covered under my homeowner’s insurance? The answer is no. The vehicle is always primary and you would have to have comprehensive coverage on the vehicle in order for it to be covered. Until next time, have a great day.
